LMU’s Information Systems and Business Analytics (IBSA) major helps students understand how computer technology meets the information needs of organizations at the operational, tactical, and strategic levels.
The study of information systems goes beyond the technology of computer software to understanding problem-solving and decision-making processes. These can involve finding innovative ways to move information and data from source to user, from market to analyst, or from abroad to headquarters and back.
IBSA students become data analysts who use information technology and quantitative tools to communicate effectively – often with people who don’t understand the workings of computer networks, databases, and application software.
