The Economics Department aims to prepare our students with the economic framework and analytical skills required to think deeply about important issues resulting from scarce resources and to educate the whole person in accordance with the University mission. Upon completing the major, students will demonstrate a solid understanding of how incentives shape human behavior in the core fields of microeconomics and macroeconomics. Students will also learn advanced statistical techniques to solve real-world problems and be fully prepared for both advanced graduate study and challenging careers.

Students have the option to pursue either the Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or the more mathematical Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree, or to minor in Economics.
